Office Partition Screen – Freestanding – 42mm PET Felt, Wooden Legs
The 42mm screen is the most substantial in the range, so it gives a solid, private separation whether you are screening a bed in a studio, a desk in a shared room or a quiet corner in an open-plan office. The wooden T legs give it a warm, furniture-like base that suits a living room as readily as a workspace.
The 42mm screen is built differently from the slimmer 24mm screen. Two 12mm felt faces sit over an 18mm wood core, which gives it noticeably more mass and density, so it feels solid and stands firm. It is commercial grade, made to the standards designers and architects specify for professional fit-outs. The felt face is warm and textured, and you can pin notes and photographs straight to it. It gently softens the sound that reflects around a room. Available in 48 colours, made in Britain, with free UK mainland delivery on orders over £50.
Made from two 12mm PET felt facings over an 18mm core. The 12mm felt is rated αw 0.30, sound absorption class D, measured to ISO 354 with the felt fixed flat against a solid backing.
Acoustic performance in your space varies with how the product is mounted, the room, and how much material is used. For the full breakdown see the science page, or contact us.

How is the 42mm screen different from the 24mm one?
It is not just thicker, it is built differently. The 24mm screen is a single solid felt board. The 42mm screen has two 12mm felt faces over an 18mm wood core, which adds mass and density, so it feels more solid and gives a stronger sense of separation.
What are the wooden T legs for?
They give the screen a stable, weighted base so it stands on its own with no fixing, and a warm timber finish that reads as furniture rather than office kit. They work on carpet and hard floors.
Can you pin things to it?
Yes. The felt face takes pins, so it doubles as a display surface.
Are these room dividers fire rated?
The felt facings are classified Class B to BS EN 13501-1, the European reaction to fire standard.
Do felt room dividers block sound?
No. It softens some of the sound that reflects around a room, but it does not block sound between spaces or soundproof a room.
