2 Panel Folding Room Divider - Arches Engraved PET Felt Screen
Arches cut into felt, folded into a corner. The two panel screen is the most compact in the range, 1200mm wide across two 600mm panels. Three heights, from 1200mm to screen a desk to 1900mm to stand taller than a doorway. Set it in a V and the arches meet at the fold. Put it at the end of a bed, across a desk, or in the corner a room has never known what to do with.
The arches are cut into both faces as V grooves at 45 degrees. Each channel catches light on one wall and holds shadow on the other, so the pattern is drawn in contrast rather than printed on. It shifts through the day as the light moves across it. Close up, that same raking shadow lifts the texture of the needlepunch felt, the fibre structure a flat printed board has to imitate.
Each panel is a single sheet of 24mm PET felt. The V is cut down into solid material, so the felt at the base of the groove is the same felt as the face. It holds a clean edge and it takes a deep cut. A screen built from two thin boards bonded together cannot go this deep. The groove reaches the glue line.
For a wider span the three panel opens to 1800mm and the four panel to 2400mm. The same screen without the arches is in the plain folding range.

How wide is the two panel divider?
It has two 600mm panels, so it opens to 1200mm wide, in heights of 1200mm, 1500mm or 1900mm. Opened into an angle to stand, its footprint is a little less than the full width, and it folds flat to store against a wall or behind a door.
When should I choose two panels over three or four?
Choose two panels to screen a corner, a bed head or a desk, where you want a compact screen you can fold away easily. Choose three or four panels to wrap around more, or to divide a wider space.
Is the same finish on both sides?
Yes. Each panel is cut from one sheet of felt, so it looks the same from either side with no backing to hide.
Are the room dividers fire rated?
Yes. The felt is classified Class B to BS EN 13501-1, the European reaction to fire standard, so the divider meets the fire classification commonly specified for commercial and public interiors as well as for the home.
Do felt room dividers block sound?
No. It softens some of the sound that reflects around a room, but it does not block sound between spaces or soundproof a room.
