4 Panel Folding Room Divider - Arches Engraved PET Felt Screen
Arches cut into felt, across the width of a room. The four panel screen opens to 2400mm across four 600mm panels. At 1900mm tall it does what a stud wall does, without the dust, the fixings or the permission. At 1200mm it divides the space without closing it down. Run it straight and the arches repeat across the full span. Fold it back on itself and it draws a quieter corner out of a larger space.
The arches are cut into both faces as V grooves at 45 degrees. Each channel catches light on one wall and holds shadow on the other, so the pattern is drawn in contrast rather than printed on. It shifts through the day as the light moves across it. Close up, that same raking shadow lifts the texture of the needlepunch felt, the fibre structure a flat printed board has to imitate.
Each panel is a single sheet of 24mm PET felt. The V is cut down into solid material, so the felt at the base of the groove is the same felt as the face. It holds a clean edge and it takes a deep cut. A screen built from two thin boards bonded together cannot go this deep. The groove reaches the glue line.
For a narrower screen the two panel folds to 1200mm wide and the three panel to 1800mm. The same screen without the arches is in the plain folding range.

How wide is the four panel divider?
It has four 600mm panels, so it opens to 2400mm wide, in heights of 1200mm, 1500mm or 1900mm. It is the widest folding screen in the range, and it still folds flat to store against a wall.
What is the four panel best for?
Its extra width. Run it straight to divide a wider room, or wrap it further round to enclose a corner more fully, such as a home working area or a screened zone in an open-plan office.
Is it harder to move than the smaller screens?
It is wider and heavier, but it still folds flat. Two people make it easier to reposition.
Are the room dividers fire rated?
Yes. The felt is classified Class B to BS EN 13501-1, the European reaction to fire standard, so the divider meets the fire classification commonly specified for commercial and public interiors as well as for the home.
Do felt room dividers block sound?
No. It softens some of the sound that reflects around a room, but it does not block sound between spaces or soundproof a room.
